Join eHealth Hub in London for an introduction of participants to the new online data and privacy landscape!
During this Lunch & Learn workshop, we will explore how European data protection laws impact the collection and processing of data, thereby affecting businesses. Attendees will get a detailed understanding of how to adhere to data protection standards whilst maintaining their start-up’s commercial goals.
Topics covered will include:
- an overview of the European data protection and online privacy standards,
- compliance requirements, fines;
- current and most common data protection mistakes and unfit privacy practices;
- and what businesses should be doing to protect their current or potential business.
Speakers
Clemence Tanzi is qLegal Coordinator at Queen Mary University of London and coordinates student and lawyer involvement at qLegal, an innovative free legal service for start-ups and entrepreneurs in London. Clemence’s interests include diversity with the tech sector and education
Lauren Webb is a law graduate from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She is currently studying her Intellectual Property Law Masters at Queen Mary University of London
Fernanda Berezovsky is a Brazilian qualified lawyer, specialized in Corporate Law, currently undertaking the International Business Law LLM at Queen Mary University
Wolfgang Guggenberger is a current student in Queen Mary’s Commercial and Corporate LLM programme. Before starting his specialised study here in London he was working in the corporate department of an Austrian law firm for several years and was part of their start-up team
Michael Chung hails from Borneo and is currently pursuing a Masters in Tax Law. He hopes to be able to bring fresh perspectives to such a socially salient yet misunderstood area of the law
