Registration is now open for the ISA² Mid-Term Conference: Linking Public Administrations, Businesses and Citizens. The event organised by the European Commission's ISA² Programme will take place on 29 November 2018 in Brussels and will be opened by the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel.

ISA² Mid-term Conference

The ISA² Programme is running from 2016 to 2020 and therefore reaching its midway point. It is an opportunity to discuss:

  • what has been already achieved;
  • the tasks for the upcoming years; and
  • the future of the programme beyond 2020.

The conference will present the current state of the implementation of the new European Interoperability Framework. The EU Member States have committed to fulfil the vision laid out in the framework by signing the Tallinn Declaration on eGovernment. At the conference, Member Sates representatives will share good practices for the framework implementation.

The event will also showcase interoperability solutions developed under the ISA² Programme so far. A session and a large exhibition of 17 stands will be dedicated to their presentation, as well as to use cases from the public and private sector.

The final part of the conference will offer the opportunity to look at legal and organisational barriers to interoperability and to discuss the future of ISA² after 2020. According to the European Commission's proposal for the next Multiannual Financial Framework, the programme would be part of the first-ever Digital Europe Programme.
