Digital manufacturing platforms are a key part of the Horizon 2020 Focus Area on Digitising and transforming European industry and services. They play an increasing role in incorporating new technologies, applications and services so that manufacturing companies (especially mid-caps and SMEs) can fulfil the demands from changing supply and value networks.
The EU has launched several calls in the Horizon 2020 programme to advance in the development of digital industrial platforms. On 8 March the European Commission will offer a web-based session to provide information on the following topic for which a call for proposals is currently open:
- DT-ICT-07-2018-2019: Digital Manufacturing Platforms for Connected Smart Factories
The session will focus on the Innovation Actions (IA) within this topic, for which € 48 million are available in the current call for proposals. The call opened on 31 October 2017 and the deadline to submit proposals is 17 April 2018.
The session will start at 2PM (CET) via Web-Ex, so you can follow it directly with no need to travel anywhere. You can connect to the room here and use the landline phone with the dial in function.
Once you reach the virtual room, you will have the option to join the audioconference by phone. Questions can be asked via the chat functionality. Please take into account that the name you give when you enter the virtual room will be visible to all participants.
