One of our most important DG INFSO events - the Digital Agenda Assembly - is just around the corner. In parallel, to the Assembly and the workshops that will takes place on 21-22 June, we have also set up 10 different online debates – on key DAE topics. Three of the key topics are very much relevant to our work, namely the online debate (and workshop) on 'Social Media', the online debate (and workshop) on 'Security', the online debate on 'Digital Public Services and Sustainability' as well as the debate on 'jobs and skills'.
This online space for discussion/collaboration allows us (1) to prepare the Digital Agenda Assembly 2012, (2) as well as the review of the Digital Agenda for Europe, planned for adoption in October. Such a space was the most requested feature in the feedback to the Assembly 2011.
Why not actively get involved and make sure your ideas, inputs and suggestions are made visible, and even maybe brought up during the Digital Agenda Assembly in June. Persons providing contributions with the most added value will be invited to attend the DAA12 in Brussels, if they wish so and were not already invited by the European Commission.
Finally, the main results from these online debates/discussions will also feed the review of the DAE, which the European Commission is currently preparing. For this reasons, European officials responsible for the DAE will participate in this platform and interact with other people interested in the DAE.
We would be very interested to hear what you have to say on these key topics and welcome all of your ideas and suggestions. We look forward to conversing with you either on the on 'Social Media' online discussion, the one on 'Security' or/and the online debate on 'Digital Public Services and Sustainability' as well as the debate on 'jobs and skills'.
