The European Commission launched a call for tenders for a framework contract for the provision of evaluation and impact assessment services to DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology in the areas of spectrum policy, regulation of electronic communications networks and services as well as audiovisual and media policies.

The framework contract intends to provide a facility through which DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology directorates/units can obtain evaluation and impact assessment-related services through a swift and simple procedure. These services will range from providing technical advice, assessment and support, including the development of methodologies and tools, to conducting evaluation analyses and/or impact assessment studies.This framework contract comprises 5 lots. The current call for tenders concerns lot 3, lot 4 and lot 5:lot 3: 'In the field of spectrum policy, the provision of technical and methodological assistance, and conducting technical, impact assessment and/or evaluation studies, supporting implementation and review of EU spectrum law including the radio spectrum policy programme (RSPP), as well as potential reporting on those issues';lot 4: 'In the field of regulation of connectivity services and electronic communications networks and services, the provision of technical and methodological support and conducting impact assessment and/or evaluation studies';lot 5: 'In the field of audiovisual and media policies, the provision of methodological support and conducting impact assessment and/or evaluation studies'. Lot 1 has already been awarded and the award of lot 2 is being prepared.
