Shifting from treating symptoms to curing chronic diseases by making the transformative promise of advanced therapies a reality for the benefit of patients. This is the vision of the EU-supported project RESTORE. Advanced therapies, i.e., new medical products that use gene therapy, cell therapy, and tissue engineering have the potential to cure genetic diseases, immune diseases, cancer and tissue injury. RESTORE initiative aims to speed up the process of bringing that potential to reality through a joint European academic and industrial effort combining medicine, basic research, technology development and engineering.
The "First advanced therapies science meeting" is addressed to industry, academia, students and patients’ organisations, who will have the opportunity to discover the latest trends in advanced therapies and to discuss and contribute to the research roadmap that RESTORE is preparing.
