Last week, more than 10.000 telecentres across more than 50 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa were full of excitement. Education venues, libraries, NGOs or Internet Access Points offered support to use technology and the internet, through out a series of stimulating activities. The Get Online Week counter stopped at 142.544 people involved, but this doesn’t tell the whole story of the campaign this year. Another almost 10.000 people took the youth ICT skills assessment tool Skillage and more than 60.000 Get onliners have been captured by other internet tools used by telecentres during the last week.
