The Business Forum will look at the challenges and opportunities for investment in Africa along four strategic priorities of the EU-Africa cooperation, such as renewable energy, agribusiness, infrastructure and the digital economy. Up to 100 representatives of EU and African digital startups have been selected to participate in the event.

As part of the digital track a series of startup related events are being organised, ranging from financing for startups and policies for startups to scale, to a masterclass for startups and pitching sessions concluded with prizes.

In this context the organisers have selected EU and African startups running a business in the digital domain and with the ambition to grow internationally. The startups will be covered the transport and accommodation costs and will be offered a stand to showcase their products.

The initiative is part of the Digital4Development (D4D) policy and of the Startup Europe efforts towards helping startups grow international. In this endeavour the European Commission is supported by the Startup Europe Comes to Africa (SEC2A) network.

Corporates, investors, local/regional/national policy makers are also expected and invited to attend the business forum.
