On 15 December 2016, the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services (ERGA) adopted a Report on the protection of minors in a converged world. The Report was prepared by the ERGA sub-group chaired by Prof. mr. dr. Madeleine de Cock Buning (Chairperson of the Dutch regulator CvdM).

The Report draws common conclusions on the most relevant elements for an adequate system of protection of minors in a converged world. It explains how, in ERGA's view, the protection of minors should evolve in the future EU legislative framework. Based on five key themes identified by the sub-group, ERGA has drawn some key recommendations on the future system of protection of minors.
