Some of the biggest opportunities for growth within our economies and societies lie in the digital sphere. Europe is well placed to lead the way in turning digital opportunities into human and economic growth. However to do so we need to tackle a unique set of challenges, such as access for all, skills and cybersecurity.
Widespread public engagement is required to ensure strong and fair rules will be in place, and in order to create awareness of both risks and opportunities the European Institutions must pursue their cooperation with all Internet economy actors, including when appropriate in a model of self- and co-regulation.
