Launched in October, the #EFAQuiz 2019 was running online for several weeks until its closing on 3 November. Participants had to answer 10 questions about European films for a chance to win one of the eight trips to experience the European Film Awards and discover European cinema from a different perspective. Almost 2000 people took part in the competition and among those 460 who replied correctly, we used a filtering question to select the 8 lucky winners. Congratulations to all of them!
The winners will travel to Berlin from 6 to 8 December 2019 and will attend the 32nd edition of the European Film Awards. They will go to the screenings of EFA nominated films, have the chance to explore a bit the city and attend the official awards ceremony, among other activities.
We would like to thank the MEDIA desks for their cooperation to make this edition a success, and in particular to the Creative Europe Desk Berlin-Brandenburg, who led the initiative.

Being a winner of the #EFAQuiz is a very special opportunity for me and I can’t explain how excited I am,especially because I’m in love with European films. But, how is it possible not to love them when they tell us fascinating stories of every country on their own way?
Beautiful variety of languages, emotions and stories make of them the best in the world!
Bianca I. (Romania)
It's incredible that I will be able to be in the same room as some of the greatest European filmmakers. It's an honor!
Thank you, Creative Europe MEDIA for giving me the opportunity to fulfill one of my dreams.
I can't wait to support the two Romanian films. I'm sure it will be a miraculous weekend!

As a movie lover I am delighted to know that I will be able to enjoy the European Film Awards in a totally different way than I have been doing for years.
Also, I will meet other cinema lovers from different countries and we can celebrate together the great party of European cinema!
Ildi B. (Hungary)
I have only participated in the quiz to test my knowledge on the European films and would have never thought that I will actually be among the winners!
It's a great honour and I am very excited.
The European art of cinema is very unique: it's diverse, bold, inspiring and it certainly deserves to be celebrated. I am glad that I can be part of this celebration in Berlin and am looking forward to this adventure!

The world of films is like the world of literature: it enriches your experience, sometimes it sucks and disturbs but there is never enough of it! Glamorous awards ceremonies naturally attract attention, although I've never dreamed of taking part in one.
Huge thanks to Creative Europe MEDIA for this great opportunity. See you in EFA 2019!
Sanda C. (Moldova)
When people no longer had the courage to believe in hell's life, when they no longer had the fortitude to believe in heaven's life, they began to believe in life as in movies.
The announcement that I won a trip to the EFA in Berlin caught me by surprise and it was the most exciting feeling that I have ever experienced. I study a course related to cinematography and I think that this event will give me the opportunity to learn new things that I'll be able to share with my colegues.
Also, I have never attended such a glamorous awards gala and I hope it will be marvelous.
Victor L. (Sweden)
I am extremely happy to be one of the winners that get to go to the EFA awards, I never win anything so my expectations where slim when I entered, but boy am I glad that I did!
As both a photographer/videographer and an avid consumer of films, I appreciate the making of films both from the technical point of view and as a form of storytelling, so I felt like the chance view the best that Europe have to offer is simply to good to pass on.
I hope that apart from it being a very enjoyable experience that it will be something I can use to learn and grow myself as a creator and I'm very thankful that have been given this chance.
