Director General Roberto Viola of DG CONNECT of the European Commission was among a long list of policy makers and health stakeholders gathered at the EU Health Summit on 29 November to map the future of healthcare in Europe. Recommendations for the next European Parliament and European Commission have already been drawn up.
Following an open selection process, the Commission has appointed 23 experts to a new Expert Group on Business-to-Government Data Sharing. The group is composed of independent experts with a high level of expertise in the field, covering a broad range of areas of interest and sectors.

The Dutch Ministry of Health in close collaboration with BeNeLuxA partners is launching an market consultation in preparation of the joint cross public procurement with other countries that will deploy a Horizon Scanning System. The system aims identify new pharmaceuticals and medical technology innovations under development that are expected to have a high impact. Interested parties are invited to participate in the open market consultation until 27 November 2018.
