Mariann Unterluggauer is an independent technology and science journalist, and tech history scholar. Today her work covers all areas of computing and its effect on politics, society, design and reaches a wide audience, broadcasted and printed in Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.

She is founder of Project NetAffair – an undertaking to study the history and current affairs of European computer networking.

She says: "I'm interested in deciphering hype and repeating circles in order to distinguish between repackaging, dead ends and progress".
