In 2011 Lyn joined RTL Group as Senior Vice President, European Affairs. She is a Member of the Board of ACT – the Association of Commercial Television in Europe.
Lyn is a founder member and has served for many years on the Board of the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP). She was elected President at the end of 2006 and served in this role until March 2012.
Lyn began her career with the UK civil service in London. After serving in the private office of the head of the Home Office (Justice/Internal Affairs ministry), she was seconded to the European Commission in Brussels.
Once Lyn’s secondment to the Commission had been completed, she remained in Brussels and took on a role as a delegate for the wholesale/retail trade association. This was followed by roles working in public affairs consultancies in Brussels dealing with a wide range of clients and EU issues, until she was appointed Director General of ACE, an international trade association in the paper /packaging/forestry sector.
Lyn left ACE in 2000 to become Head of the new Brussels office of Boots (a pharmaceutical and retail company).
She was appointed Director of Public Affairs for Kraft Foods in August 2004, and served as Chair of the European Food and Drink Industry (CIAA)’s Diet Task Force, Chair of the European Coffee Federation’s Public Affairs Committee, Vice President of the European Food & Drink Council and was active in many other industry association bodies.
Lyn holds a BA (Hons) university degree in French, German and Dutch.
