The Cloud Select Industry Group (C-SIG) is open to all organisations, groups and individuals having a professional interest in cloud computing matters and are active in the European cloud market.

The C-SIG was established by the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, Software and Services, Cloud Unit, with representatives from major European and multinational companies and organizations with significant involvement in cloud computing, for the purpose of providing independent validation and advice on proposals.

The Communication "Unleashing the Potential of Cloud Computing in Europe" (2012) identified key actions to be supported by Cloud Select industry Groups:

The meetings are open to all organisations, groups and individuals. To allow fruitful discussions, the Commission reserves the right to limit the number of participants depending on the topics to be discussed.
