This year I have the opportunity to be part of the team organizing the networking sessions at ICT2013. I have to say it has been very interesting and exciting part of my job, taking into consideration the experience itself which comes out of it, but not only. I will be happy to see the real outcome during the sessions in Vilnius!
From 252 applications, we have chosen the best ones! We have managed to schedule 153 networking sessions to cover the hottest issues in research and innovation, such as Big Data, Cloud, Computing, Systems and Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Future Internet, Smart Cities & Sustainability to name just a few. Participants registered for ICT2013 who will be with us in Vilnius, will have the opportunity to take part in some of the sessions. The goal is to share your own perspectives on a particular policy, technology or research and innovation theme in Horizon 2020. You will have a chance to be exposed to the views, perspectives and ideas of others and to meet delegates with common or similar topical interests with whom you could collaborate in the future. The only requirement to participate to the networking sessions in Vilnius is to register to the event.
But we also want to give the opportunity to everybody - both the registered participants and the people who cannot go to Vilnius - to engage with each others online prior to the event. We have therefore made all networking sessions visible on our website and open to your comments. So, if you click on one of the sessions you are interested in - for example this one - you can leave your comment and suggest ideas. This offers a great chance to know each other already before Vilnius, but also a great opportunity to share ideas for those one who cannot come to ICT 2013. Everybody can be a part of it and give some input. All you need is to set up a profile on our website, log in and post your comment.
I am looking forward for all the outcome of this event!
