112 is the single emergency number in Denmark.

The European emergency number 112 is the only emergency number in Denmark.

112 calls are answered on average within 10 seconds. It is possible to call 112 from a mobile phone even without a SIM card. In addition to Danish, the calls are answered in English, Swedish and Norwegian.

A 112 Application is available for Danish citizens that can provide a 10-60 meters accuracy of the caller. 

According to the latest E-communications household and telecom single market survey, 49% of Danes know they can use 112 everywhere in the EU.

Hearing and speech impaired people can communicate through text with emergency services subject to pre-registration.
