112 is one of the emergency numbers in Croatia.

It is not possible to call 112 from a mobile phone without a SIM card. Calls can be answered in English, German, Italian, Hungarian, Slovak & Czech. The average time to answer a 112 call is 5 seconds.

According to the latest E-communications household and telecom single market survey, 64% of Croats know they can use 112 everywhere in the EU.

The European emergency number 112 is not the only emergency number in Croatia:

  • 192 - police
  • 193 - fire brigade,
  • 194 - ambulance,
  • 195 - search and rescue at sea,
  • 1987 - road assistance.

SMS service was introduced in 2016 to ensure access to emergency services for disabled end-users.
