Questions during the workshop
Question | Answer | Notes/Actions |
---|---|---|
Info about the audience | 80% public 20% private about 50 attendees | |
Heard about CEF DSI? | 5-10% yes. Several participants have taken part in CEF calls for grants. 2-3 with profile. | |
How many here have heard about PEPPOL? | About half of the people here knows about PEPPOL | |
Do the public authorities in Greece have electronic workflow support for managing invoices? | No - unsure what is in place | |
Which invoicing formats are currently being used? | No answer | |
The European Standard is high level of information quality - Can this prove to be a challenge? | No answer | |
Are there any public available schematrons? | There are schematrons available but not through CEN - they are still assessing how to publish these | |
Two formats - do you see this as an opportunity or a challenge? | 5 participants thinks it should be one syntax A few participants thinks it should be more syntaxes as it gives the flexibility to chose from the client Other comments: Syntaxes must however exist as we (the service providers) has seen too many exchanges without prober structured syntaxes. From the public authority it is too expensive to cover more than one syntax for sure | |
if a country implements an extension do we still need to support the full standard? | Extensions is per definition not compliant to the directive - so yes you need to support both. | |
Do you know any countries that uses or plan to use extensions? | No countries - so far - plans for this that we are aware of. | |
How much time does it take to get from 0% invoices to a significant number | Very dependent on what instruments are available to force/push uptake. Through requirements in contract, by law or by relying on individuals driving the uptake. Clear policy and backing from management are the most important measures. Collaboration is key here - between the public authorities, the service providers and the banks - all needs to be involved. | |
Is digital signing of invoices required? | No, but all communication between the access points in PEPPOL are signed and encrypted. Business controls must always be in place when receiving invoices, regardless of signatures or not. | |
Is CEF eDelivery of interest for you? | Since there is no infrastructure today, CEF eDelivery is offering a good solution. | |
What about AS2 and AS4? Will PEPPOL upgrade? | There is a Letter of Understanding between OpenPEPPOL and EC about a transition to AS4. | |
How does AP-providers normally price their services? | Nothing in the PEPPOL agreements says how a provider must charge the customer it is working on behalf of. Typical models are a fee per message or a monthly fixed price or combinations. | |
Is PEPPOL only for eInvoices? | No, PEPPOL also have specifications for Catalogue, Order/OrderResponse, DespatchAdvice and more. | |
Can the standard be shared inside the organization? | This is a licensing question related to the European standard and i depends on the type of license the standard was purchased under. Normally there are on-user licenses or network licenses. |
