<p>In June 2024, the European Commission released version 1.0.5 of the Once-Only Technical Design Documents.</p>
<p>The technical and operational specifications of the Once-Only Technical System are laid down in the <a class="link external" target="_blank" href="https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv%3AOJ.L_.2022.231.01.0001.01.ENG&toc=OJ%3AL%3A2022%3A231%3ATOC"><span>Implementing Regulation ((EU) 2022/1463)</span><span class="sr-only">(opens in a new tab)</span><span class="ico-external"></span></a>. These specifications are complemented by detailed, non-binding documents, known as Once-Only Technical Design Documents (TDDs). The Technical Design Documents provide a high-level overview of the main components of the Once-Only Technical System, describe their functionality, and outline the process for exchanging documents and data through the system, the ‘evidence exchange process’.</p>
<p>Version 1.0.0 of the Once-Only Technical Design Documents was released in December 2023, together with the system’s go-live. The documents are regularly reviewed and updated by a dedicated group comprised of Member State and Commission representatives.</p>
<p>Version 1.0.5 of the documents is a patch release that is mostly limited to minor corrections of existing functionalities. It does not include any major changes or additions of new capability. The release consists of two parts:</p>
