<p style="font-size:16px; font-family:verdana;"> The Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS) Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI) is an infrastructure that enables the cooperation and interoperability of Business Registers across Europe. The service allows users to <a href="https://e-justice.europa.eu/content_find_a_company-489-en.do?clang=en"> search for information on companies</a> registered in EU and European Economic Area (EEA) countries, and enables the connected registers to share information on foreign branches and cross-border mergers of companies. The company search functionality is available through the e-Justice Portal. </p>

<p style="font-size:16px; font-family:verdana;"> The system consists of a Core Service Platform, named the "European Central Platform" (ECP), which orchestrates all traffic among the domestic business registers and between the European e-Justice Portal and the Member States. The system also comprises the Member States business registers and the BRIS "Find a company" page of the European e-Justice Portal which allows to search for and access company information from the national business registers.  
<br/><br/> Generic Services Projects support Member States enable business registers to support the evolving data model and standard messages coming from BRIS, which may involve the upgrade of the existing business registers. Also, Generic Services Projects enable business registers and/or central registers storing information on beneficial ownership to support the data model and the standard messages coming from BRIS, which may involve the upgrade of the existing business registers. Finally, they insure the operation and maintenance of access points once in operational mode. </p>
