The CEF eInvoicing Building Block offers a range of services to support Public Entities in their eInvoicing projects, and facilitate interoperability between contracting parties in Europe. In this context, different implementation workshops are available to promote the uptake of electronic invoicing, the European standard and other relevant CEF Building Blocks DSI services. The workshop modules on CEF eInvoicing will assess the needs for implementation of the European standard on eInvoicing in the national contexts and will focus on the information below:

  • Lessons learned and success stories from early adopters of eInvoicing solutions, presenting the benefits of eInvoicing from a user's perspective;
  • The European standard, its compliant syntaxes and their conversion and validation mechanisms;
  • Grant funding for eInvoicing projects;
  • Other resources and tools from the CEF eInvoicing Building Block (e.g. the eInvoicing Readiness Checker).

The implementation workshops are provided in English and are offered on-site (in your country) or remotely (online). The contents can be tailored to your specific needs, with a duration ranging from half a day to two days. Please note that the workshops are available at no cost but on a first-come first-served basis. We will rely on the host country to facilitate logistics (including provision of facilities) and to identify and invite participants from both private and public sector.

The workshops will be offered between May 2017 and March 2018. To request an implementation workshop on CEF eInvoicing, please send an email to CEF-BUILDING-BLOCKS@ec.europa.eu and we will get in touch to prepare it with you.

  1. Dear all,

    Suppose companies in the Netherlands want to participate in the CEF Call e-Invoicing that is going to be launced.

    How should they approac this ? Is it centrally managed per country or can those companies directly respond to the call ?

    kind regards

    Danny Gaethofs

    1. Dear Danny

      Good to hear from you and thank you for your question.

      When the upcoming call for proposals on CEF eInvoicing is opening at the end of June, you will be able to find the call text and requirements to the consortium. Once the call has opened, you could also contact INEA who is handling the call itself and any question related to the call. Within the call text you will also find the contact details of INEA.

      For building a consortium the companies can respond directly to the call, and hence you should not expect a centrally managed process unless someone in your Member State takes up this task. We know of at least 2 past and current projects in the Nederland's with participation from both Public and Private sector. It might be worth a try to contact these to hear about their experiences with the application process.

      In the past calls on CEF eInvoicing there has been some requirements to include national public authorities or at least have national authority back up to the consortium, so you should pay close attention to this in the call text.

      In any case the current plan is to have a webinar here on CEF Digital on the 5th July around the Funds and Grants of CEF eInvoicing, and If possible you could participate there and ask INEA directly as well.

      Thank you for your question!
