Web API standards:
- The list of and description of Web API general-purpose standards, terms and European Commission initiatives is available for download. The purpose of this document is to establish a common level of technical background knowledge and an even landscape on web APIs.
API strategies for governments
- API framework for governments
  - The API framework for government (i.e. a coordinated approach for the adoption of APIs in government) is available for download
  - Online self-assessment tool: with this tool, governments can check the adoption of the framework (i.e. degree of API adoption in public organisations)
- A workshop on EU API strategies proposed by some Member States and illustrated by worldwide API experts is available for consultation. Presentation and recording of the workshop are available for download.
- A public webinar on specific governance models, ecosystems and benefits of APIs for public-sector organisations has been published.
API in governments case studies
- The document on government API case studies analysed in the study presents relevant examples on how governments have implemented APIs in various areas and at different government levels.
