Student / young ambassadors at ICT 2013

Student / Young ambassadors will attend ICT2013 to learn about ICT research opportunities, meet with speakers and delegates, and report it all online

146 applications for student ambassadors were received, and the selection results have been informed to all applicants. The list of confirmed ambassadors and their roles in the ICT2013 event will be published by October.

The young ambassadors will contribute to the event in different roles:

  • Session reporters will be following selected conference sessions and write summaries of the highlights, which will be published on the blog;
  • Conference highlighters will follow the conference and tweet about it; they will take photos and make short interviews on the spot which will be put online;
  • Exhibition watchers will tweet about exhibition and will highlight the most attractive exhibits. They may also act as exhibition guides for secondary school and university students;
  • Social media managers will help to coordinate the information and content produced by different ambassadors. They will manage the content and be responsible for creating specific entries in Facebook and on Twitter.

All the student/young ambassadors will be provided with a personal certificate for their contribution to the ICT 2013 event.
