Kathryn founded Decoded in January 2011, teaching people Code in a Day and pioneering a global zeitgeist around code education. She launched Decoded to seek to address the worrying low levels of confidence and digital literacy across the professional world from board level to new joiner across all sectors and to bridge the growing gap between the digital “haves” and “have nots”.
Winner of the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award, first time double award winner of the 2012 RED Hot Magazine Awards for both UK Start-Up of the Year and Digital Entrepreneur of the Year and recently named as one of the top 100 women in tech in Europe in Tech Crunch by Girls in Tech. Kathryn is a regular speaker at events.
Kathryn began her career at at WPP's Ogilvy Group developing award-winning work in branded content, virtual worlds and mobile-phone-based research. She set up her first business in 2006, an innovation and product development company working with a range of global clients to diversify their revenue streams and IP.
Kathryn studied Classics at Downing College, Cambridge. She mentors a handful of young aspiring female entrepreneurs in technology.
