Dr. Sabine Brunswicker is Head of Open Innovation at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering, Germany. In this role she has been managing innovation research and advisory projects at an international level. In addition, she is Senior Research Fellow at ESADE Business School. Her general research interests are in new innovation and business models and how firms can put them in action. Recently, her work focuses on how IT affords new collaborative value creation in people-centric networks.
She is also known for her research on innovation in SME and her founding role in IMP³rove, an international standard of innovation management in SMEs. She holds a master degree in industrial engineering from the University of Technology in Darmstadt, a master of commerce from the University of New South Wales, and a PhD in innovation management from University of Stuttgart (Summa cum Laude). She has received several awards including the ISPIM-Wiley Innovation Management Best Dissertation Award.
