Claire Lobet-Maris is sociologist. She is senior professor at the Computer Science faculty at University of Namur teaching sociology, organizational sciences and technological policy in bachelor and Master programmes of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and of the Faculty of Law. She is also Research Director at the Centre of Research Law, Information & Society (CRIDS) Her main domain is the sociology of the digital trying both to understand the emergence and the meaning of the technological objects in our late modernity and their impacts on the social and personal life.
She is scientific member of the ethical board of Allistene (Alliance des Sciences et Technologies du Numérique - French Consortium of the major R&D institutions) and of the Committee 'Social Sciences', Science Europe.
