Europeans are travelling to other European countries for business or leisure and they need to know the European emergency number - 112 - valid throughout the EU. Currently, only a bit more than one quarter of Europeans can identify 112 as the number to call the police, fire brigade or medical services in case of need.
The 2013 campaign, with tour operators and travel agents, builds on the successful campaign in 2012 with companies promoting 112 on their websites, on the e-tickets which they issue to travellers, and at major tourists destinations.
