Pre-information notice for a low value contract – ref. ECFIN/A5/2011/024

The Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) is planning to award a contract for the supply of promotional material on the Economic and Monetary Union and the Euro. The maximum budget for this contract will be €60,000.-

The contractor will need to supply three categories of promotional material:

1. Category "Mass distribution" (adults and children): this type of promotional material is targeted for the large public and will be distributed in large quantities during information and communication activities (events, open days, exhibitions, conferences etc.).
2. Category "Limited distribution": this type of promotional products is targeted for a limited audience and will be distributed in a limited manner (participants and speakers in conferences, seminars and exhibitions, VIPs or special guests etc.).
3. Category "Small-scale distribution": this type of promotional material targets a limited audience and will be distributed on an individual basis (speakers, VIPs etc.).

DG ECFIN intends to invite potential candidates and send them the tender specifications in October/November 2011. If you would like to be considered for this contract, please contact DG ECFIN via the functional mailbox  no later than10 October 2011.

This invitation is in no way binding on the European Commission. The Commission's contractual obligation commences only upon signature of the contract with the successful candidate. Up to the point of signature, DG ECFIN may either abandon the procurement or cancel the award procedure, without the candidates being entitled to claim any compensation. Candidates will be notified.
