60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome in Cyprus
Celebrating the European project and the spirit of the Founding Fathers while reflecting on the way forward towards a stronger, more cohesive Union. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, the Embassy of Italy in Nicosia, the European Parliament Information Office in Cyprus, the European Commission Representation in Cyprus and the Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Treaties of Rome on Thursday, 30 March 2017, 6.00 p.m. at the Melina Mercouri Hall (Famagusta Gate, Nicosia).

• The Representation is organising a series of presentations on EU Careers in six different universities in Cyprus.
The history of the Treaties of Rome will be highlighted in these presentations (6 March - 3 April 2017).

• On the occasion of the final event of the National School Competition (a competition about the European Union) on 20 March 2017, the history of the Treaties of Rome will be highlighted.

The travelling exhibition consists of archival documents and images from the Historical Archives of the European Union, the Diplomatic Historical Archives of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Archives of ANSA.
