60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome in Cyprus

Celebrating the European project and the spirit of the Founding Fathers while reflecting on the way forward towards a stronger, more cohesive Union. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, the Embassy of Italy in Nicosia, the European Parliament Information Office in Cyprus, the European Commission Representation in Cyprus and the Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Treaties of Rome on Thursday, 30 March 2017, 6.00 p.m. at the Melina Mercouri Hall (Famagusta Gate, Nicosia).

• Travelling exhibition on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome
“EVER CLOSER UNION”.
The Legacy of the Treaties of Rome for Today’s Europe

The exhibition is organized by the Historical Archives of the European Union and the European University Institute in collaboration with:

the Council of the European Union
the European Commission
the European Parliament
the Department for European Policies, Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy
the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and
the ANSA Agency

The travelling exhibition consists of  archival documents and images from the Historical Archives of the European Union, the Diplomatic Historical Archives of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Archives of ANSA.
