Opening of pilot scheme “Perform Europe” by performing arts network
The Perform Europe project aims to test innovative international touring models. It also aims to rethink cross-border distribution of performing arts works in a sustainable, inclusive and balanced way, including through the use of digital tools.
The project sets a particular focus on reaching underrepresented professionals – those who usually do not take part in and benefit from cross-border distribution of performing arts.
In the Perform Europe project, performing arts include theatre, dance, circus and street arts. Music is not included, except musical theatre.
January 2021 launch
The project will be officially launched online on 28 January with stakeholders and policy-makers. The event will cover the project’s guiding values and vision, and the opportunities provided.
