The 'Europe for Citizens' programme aims to  contribute to improving citizens' understanding of the EU, to encourage civic and democratic participation at EU level and to raise awareness about European  history and  European values. It is also relevant in the context of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

Funded by the 'Europe for citizens' programme, the 'European Remembrance' call for proposals is open until 1 March 2018. It supports projects that encourage reflection on the causes and consequences of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes in European history.

Two other related calls for proposals, for town-twinning projects and for networks of towns, offer funding for projects which bring together partner towns  around topics related to the objectives of the programme and to multi-annual EU priorities including the European year of cultural heritage in 2018.

Deadline: 1 March 2018

To find out more about the above calls for proposals please visit the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency website.
