"Europe for citizens" - call for projects

Wed, 07/02/2018 - 16:02

The "Europe for Citizens" programme aims to contribute to citizens' understanding of the EU, its history and diversity, to foster European citizenship and to improve conditions for civic and democratic participation at EU level, as well as to raise awareness of remembrance, common history and value. It is therefore very relevant in the context of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

Funded by the programme, the "European Remembrance" call for proposals is open until 1 March 2018, to support projects that aim to raise awareness on common history and values. In this context, it aims to finance projects reflecting on causes and consequences of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes in Europe's modern and on other defining moments and reference points in recent European history.

The calls for proposals for "town-twinning projects" and the call for proposals for "networks of towns" aim for projects bringing together a wide range of partner towns in a town twinning event or a network of towns around topics in line with the objectives of the programme and taking into consideration the multi-annual priorities including in 2018 European cultural heritage.

Deadline: 1 March 2018
