i-Portunus mobility scheme for artist

I-Portunus is a scheme funded by the European Commission that supports the mobility of artists, creators and cultural professionals.

Supporting international cooperation

The i-Portunus mobility scheme is the “Erasmus” of the culture sector. It connects international artists, creators and cultural professionals and supports international collaborations among all countries participating in the Creative Europe Programme.

The scheme provides funding to individuals to go abroad for short-term periods (7-60 days) with a maximum amount of €3,000, via 2 types of applications from either:

  • Individuals artists or cultural professionals
  • Hosts or hosting organisations

Eligibility for funding

The scheme is open to

  • artists, creators and cultural professionals working in any cultural sector except for audio-visual
  • hosting organisations working in any cultural sectors except the audio-visual. On well justified cases, well-established artists, masters, or cultural professions of renown may also act as hosts.
