This project relates to three aims of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage: to encourage people-centered approaches to heritage, make heritage accessible to all, and raise awareness of Europe’s heritage among hard-to-reach groups. The project seeks to engage groups of older and younger Europeans (aged 55+, and 13-30), who are hard to reach and do not already participate in cultural heritage activities – such as those living in isolation or poverty, not engaged in education, learning or employment. It aims to encourage individuals to share their own cultural heritage, raise awareness of links between personal, local and European heritage, and reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space.
