05 Sweden Wheeled child conveyances.
Product name: Emmaljunga Pram with reversible handle.
Model: EDGE
Two incidents have been reported with EDGE prams with a reversible handle. The first occurred when a mother pulled her pram upstairs with the child sitting in it and the safety lock released. The second incident occurred when a mother pulled her pram onto a bus and the handle gave way. The manufacturer (Emmaljunga) has recalled the EDGE model from the market and also from customers who bought EDGE prams manufactured before October 2003 or with a serial number lower than 0310.

The manufacturer has now equipped the prams with a new revised safety lock (Newton hook), and replaced old ones free of charge.

06 Germany Electrical lighting
Product:: Illuminated picture
Model: "Wasserfall"
Type of risk: no protection against contact with live parts under mains voltage when changing the fuse (contact is possible with the thread of the fuse holder and the fuse itself, which are both live if the appliance is plugged in).

The insulation of the internal wiring can be damaged by sharp parts, which could result in stray voltages inside the appliance causing an electric shock.

During replacement of the lamp direct contact is possible with the poorly insulated leads and with metal parts. The required user instructions are missing. The light does not have a manufacturer's label, brand name or any other indication of origin for identification.
Recall via free newspapers distributed at retailers.
