Promote SMEs and boost entrepreneurship
This topic was among the priorities of the Vice-President’s mandate. Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) run by dynamic entrepreneurs are the job generators of Europe. If we want to stimulate growth in Europe, we must look first to our SMEs. Several actions have been taken to achieve this goal: SMEs week 2010, "Small Business Act" for Europe (SBA), adoption of the late payments directive and improved access to finance.
