Message of congratulations to the Prime Minister of FYROM
Following the elections in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, President Barroso sent a message of congratulations to Mr Nikola Gruevski, the current Prime Minister and leader of VMRO-DPMNE. Underlining the common goal of FYROM's integration into the EU, President Barroso expressed his confidence that the new government would "make every effort to ensure progress on the important issues that remain to be addressed" on FYROM's path towards the European Union.
