On Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October, the Vice-President responsible for the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič will travel to Gdansk and Sopot, making Poland the 16th country of the Energy Union Tour. As in the previous Member States he visited, Vice-President Šefčovič will convey the benefits of the Energy Union in the national context – to the industry, consumers, and the civil society organisations. The Vice-President will meet with the regional self-government authorities at Marshal Office of Pomorskie Region. Vice-President Šefčovič will speak at the European Forum for New Ideas (EFNI) and participate in inauguration of academic year at Gdansk University of Technology where he will hold a keynote speech "Energy Union for you". Finally, the Vice-President will visit the Polish oil company Lotos and its refinery in Gdansk.
