Special adviser Guillaume Klossa has handed his report on the opportunities and challenges related to the use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain in the media sector to Vice-President Andrus Ansip.

Vice-President Ansip thanked Guillaume Klossa, as well as Dieter Boen, Marc Schoenauer, Daniel Knapp and Sten-Kristian Saluveer who worked with Guillaume on the report, saying: “A thriving, innovative media sector is vital for our democracies. Interesting ideas to strengthen European media are always welcome to stimulate debate and taking these issues forward”.

Guillaume Klossa is a former director at the European Broadcasting Union, and the founder of think tanks EuropaNova and Civico Europa. He is former sherpa to the reflection group on the future of Europe (European Council) and lecturer at Sciences-Po Paris. His role of special adviser started in October 2018 and ends with this report.
