The 2021 UN climate change conference (COP26) is scheduled to take place from 1 to 12 November 2021 in Glasgow, under the incoming presidency of the UK. The EU and its Member States will take part as Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).


The Youth Climate Pact Challenge is your chance to make a difference to the green transition by connecting with others to co-create innovative youth engagement project ideas in the field of climate action. 


Launched last December as an initiative of the European Commission, the European Climate Pact is organising its virtual Day of Action on 29 June 2021. This event intends to raise awareness of the progress and opportunities in the Pact, encourage pledging, share uplifting stories of climate action and connect people with action in their own country. The event will bring together politicians, policymakers, celebrities, Ambassadors, country coordinators, PR partners, influencers, and the citizens of Europe from all walks of life for a day of action in favour of our planet. By taking action in our own worlds, everyone has a part to play in building a greener tomorrow.


On 28 April, the Commission organised an online event on the first two calls for projects launched in 2020 under the Innovation Fund.


On 15 April at 10.00 CEST, we organised a dedicated webinar to provide more details and answer questions on the application process of the second stage of the first Innovation Fund call for large-scale projects.


On 24 March 2021, Vivid Economics organises an expert workshop on the Market Stability Reserve, as part of a contract with the European Commission. This workshop is open to the general public.


The Ministerial on Climate Action (MoCA) is an annual meeting attended by ministers and high-level representatives from over 30 countries, including ministers from the G20 and chairs of key party groupings in the UN climate negotiations.


Policy Dialogue to promote discussion on the interlinkages between climate change and health, the goals and tools of the European Climate and Health Observatory, and how it can provide value for different users in the future.


This Policy Dialogue will serve as an opportunity to discuss the European Commission’s new Strategy on Climate Adaptation, which is expected to be published on 24 February, and its main goals.


On 26 February 2021, experts from DG Climate action, the Joint Research Centre and a representative from the NER 300 project “Veja Mate” gathered virtually to discuss about knowledge-sharing for innovative clean-tech projects.
