The Innovation Fund expert group will assist the European Commission in designing the Innovation Fund to be set up as part of the revision of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
The Commission is inviting experts from energy intensive industries, NGOs, research institutes and Member States to join the expert group.
The call for applications will remain open until 10 May 2018.

The Innovation Fund has been established by the revised EU Directive to enhance cost-effective emission reductions and low-carbon investments ('the ETS Directive').
The fund will support low-carbon innovation in energy intensive industry, carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies, innovative renewable energy and energy storage technologies, and demonstration projects on the environmentally safe capture and geological storage of CO2 (CCS).
