When developing policy and legislation, the European Commission consults widely with EU citizens and stakeholders. We want to learn from your experiences and opinions directly.
Through public consultations you can express your views on the scope, priorities and added value of EU action for new initiatives, or evaluations of existing policies and laws.
Public consultations allow you to express your views on key aspects of impact assessments for Commission proposals under preparation as well as on key elements of evaluations of existing policies. They are open to the public for a period of minimum 12 weeks by default.
The Commission may also seek expertise in a given area and target specific stakeholder groups through other forms of consultation.
For a complete overview, see how you can contribute to EU policy and law-making and a list of all public consultations launched by the European Commission. To receive information via email, you can subscribe to notifications.
