Following the entry into force of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, EU-Japan centre for industrial cooperation developed a series of factsheets, highlighting export opportunities to Japan for different product categories.

EU pavilion at Gulfood, Foodex and Alimentaria

The EU participated in Gulfood (United Arab Emirates), Expo ANTAD & Alimentaria (Mexico) and Foodex (Japan) with an institutional pavilion. The EU pavilion offered an immersive experience around the quality, safety and authenticity of a wide variety of EU agricultural food and beverage products through information sessions, cooking shows and master classes, products tastings and pairing, quizzes.

The 3 pavilions together were visited by over 18.000 business visitors. Over 16.000 food samples were tasted and the cooking shows were attended by close to 2000 people.

A parallel seminar on the European Partnership Agreement (EPA) opportunities was organised during Foodex and attended by 150 participants. A conference on Geographical Indications, as well as a drink show pairing Mexican and EU spirits, were held during Alimentaria. The two events gathered more than 220 participants.

The EU pavilion at SIAL is organised as a part of the project “Business Support for the EU – India Policy Dialogues” whose implementation partner in India and your direct point of contact is the European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC). The EU pavilion is coordinated in close cooperation with the European Union Delegation, New Delhi.

EU Gateway | Business Avenues’ 2019 Organic Food & Beverage business mission to Korea is confirmed from 18 to 22 November. The mission week will include B2B meetings, site visits, a business networking reception hosted by the European Union, and two days of exhibition. European companies can apply online before 14 June 2019.
