Part of an overall evaluation of the policy, the consultation aims to gather feedback from citizens and stakeholders on the effectiveness and efficiency, as well as relevance, coherence and EU added value of the policy.

2020 Calls for proposals are now closed

The two calls for proposals on "Information provision and promotion measures concerning agricultural products implemented in the internal market and in third countries in accordance with Regulation (EU) N°1144/2014" have reached their submission deadline on 3 June 2020.

EU pavilions in 2020: SIAL China and Alimentaria Mexico

The EU will participate in SIAL China (Shanghai) and Alimentaria (Mexico) with an institutional pavilion. The EU pavilion will offer an immersive experience around the quality, safety and authenticity of a wide variety of EU agricultural food and beverage products through information sessions, cooking shows and master classes, products tastings, pairing and quizzes.

“Colours by Europe” EU Campaign in China

“Colours by Europe” EU Campaign in China

Recognising China as the EU’s most important trading partner and the second largest food importer in the world, the European Commission is overseeing the implementation of a communication campaign on agri-food products running from May 2019 until early 2021. It includes more than 20 events for businesses and consumers as well as strong online and media presence on WeChat, Douyin and Weibo. The aims are to boost EU food and beverages merits, awareness and consumption, and educate our Chinese target on the EU agri-food products.
