Through a program of activities to implemented in Japan during 2 years and targeting general consumers, sector operators, media & opinion leaders, different aims will be prosecuted regarding PDO and PGI deli meats, i.e.:

  • the spread of the knowledge about European PDO and PGI marked deli meats, 
  • the increase of the propensity for consumption by the medium-high profile Japanese consumer, the export increase of European products to the Japanese market.

Precisely, the proposal organisation (IVSI) will:

  • undertake Public Relations and Press Office activities,
  • produce brochures and a book-in-book to be attached to a major gourmet and lifestyle magazine, 
  • set up courses in cooking schools, a "show cooking" event, showcases for importers, and promotions in selected restaurants and high-profile retail distribution chains.

The total budget foreseen for this programme is 800.000,-€.
