Reduced costs and time
Reduction of office expenditures, costs and environmental impact around printing, shipping, scanning, archiving and managing multiple copies of paper documents.
Paperless, end-to-end digital process
By removing the need for paper to obtain a signature or seal, e-signatures and e-seals allow EU institutions, public administrations, businesses and citizens to complete transactions digitally, at any time and on any device.
Electronic signatures and seals reduce the risk of duplication or alteration of the document itself. The signer’s identity is bound to the documents ensuring that signatures and seals are verified, authentic and legitimate.
Improved user experience
Reduction of approval times due to fast response and speedy document signing processes, leading to employees’ or clients’ satisfaction.
Join the eSignature community
There are two online community spaces available for stakeholders involved and interested in the activity of the CEF eSignature building block.
eSignature TLSO's user community
The eSignature TLSOs User Community is the place where you can find resources for managing a Trusted List and interact with other Operators and the CEF team.
The eSignature Governance space hosts the eSignature Operational Management Board (OMB). The OMB provides a vehicle for stakeholders to handle all operational matters of the CEF building block. It aims to ensure that the European Commission leads the implementation process of the building block with the advice of the Member States and to ensure that the private sector, user organisations and standardisation bodies play a role.
