A textile revolution | Laboratories and companies work together on the textiles of tomorrow
Description

Textile production in the Hauts-de-France region has suffered from de-industrialisation. Tourcoing wanted to use its proud past to develop the textiles of tomorrow. CETI’s equipment was bought with €5 million from the EU (42% of the total cost) In 2015, 28 private customers and 3 consortia put their trust in CETI CETI aims to create 500 direct jobs over 5 years and 1,500 over 10 years Partners: LECTRA: Global leaders in integrated technology solutions (software, automatic cutting machines and associated services) for companies using fabrics, leather, technical textiles and composite materials for product manufacture HILLS INC: Specialists in multi-component fibre extrusion technology EDANA: International association representing players in the non-woven sector
