Beskrivning
The ‘Golden Road’, historically used by King Charles IV to visit his estates in the region, links the German town of Bärnau and the neighbouring Czech town of Tachov. Today, the Golden Road History Park renews and strengthens the social, economic and linguistic ties in the region.
Resultat
Opened in 2011, the History Park attracts more than 20 000 visitors annually, not including the large numbers of people attending the various conferences held there. Among the visitors are thousands of schoolchildren who visit the park to learn about everyday life under Charles IV and their shared Bavarian-Bohemian history.
