A bridge from school to work | Project increases young peoples’ employability in Rotterdam South

Under the Bridge project, young people from Rotterdam South will receive help to increase their employability over the coming years. The area faces a huge mismatch between training programmes chosen by youngsters and labour market demand. With EU support, the project should bridge this gap. It consists of training programmes with guaranteed jobs at the end. Annually, by 2020, Bridge should: help 1,800 young people from Rotterdam to improve their position on the job market guarantee 600 career starts Partners: Municipality of Rotterdam SEOR, an independent agency linked to Erasmus University Rotterdam that carries out global economic research for governments and private parties Centre of Expertise for Social Innovation, Rotterdam University Metropolitan Region of Rotterdam and The Hague Rebel Group Other partners include schools, employers, and Rabobank in Rotterdam South
